Recent repatriations, of many Nigerians, including wives and families, or even those who were airlifted to Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage, has kept me wondering if the Saudis are even interested in having asny African Islamic relationship.
Last year kept my jaw constantly opened for some minutes, when I hearted that some people who went for pilgrimage, were sent back to Nigeria from Saudi Arabia , for a reason one could easily ignore, it it were foreigners to Nigeria , and I ask again, is it that they are of lower Islamic classes, or is it that the Nigerians there were not following the rules, after much research, I just learnt the they were just strict for their personal intentions, not minding the emotional pains the ones repatriated feel, even non-Muslims, sometimes ask to know and wonder how strict can you be, to send away those who came for a religions reasons and not for selfish purpose.
Not long ago, this same year , yesterday to be precise, the first batch of 80 Nigerians repatriated from Saudi Arabia arrived yesterday at the Nnamid Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, via the Ethiopian Airline plane about noon, as confirmed by Mr Daniel Obot, the Assistant Director of Relief and Rehabilitation of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), out of 508, of them .
These Nigerians, are not from south east, south-south, or any christian dominated region, but from mostly Kano and other Nigerian Islamic states, as thier data shows here , 31 of them were from Kano State, 19 from Borno, three from Bauchi and eight from Jigawa.
seven others were from Yobe, two from Plateau, nine from Katsina and one from Nasarawa.
which shows that they went where they will be accepted, but the people they went to meet, were not ready to accept them.
There should be a little tiny tolerance pleas, the Saudis, for others, all we are looking for in Nigeria, is for grown, as the Government, does not encourage that, we Nigerians, decided to source for help out there, but, the way the Saudis were handling it, I don't think some people like it, try and lessen those moves against Nigerians pleas.
