N.M.A, NIGERIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION SET TO TERMINATE MANY SOULS FROM ENTERING THE NEW YEAR WITH THEIR STRIKE ACTIONS

ASUU, finished with Jonathan, now N.M.A, the Nigerian medical association, rose their bitter minds, this Yuletide, to stop many from entering the new year.

The doctors registered under the Nigerian medical association, yesterday, washed off their hands from public medical services, as their deadline given to the federal government, deteriorated yesterday, after issuing a 21-day ultimatum for government to implement a mutual agreement signed by them and the federal govt.

The N.M.A president, OSAHON ENABULELE,  told the press, that they should disregard any other story emanating from govt, that may be contrary, as he explains

“We had a meeting called by the Minister of Labour and this meeting lasted from 3.30p.m. on Monday till 5a.m. on Tuesday.

“The meeting had in attendance, ministers of Labour and Health; Chairman, House Committee on Health, and a delegation of the NMA.

“Others included the Permanent Secretary, Labour and Health, representatives of Salaries & Wages, the Head of Service and Budgets Office.

“The meeting raised a memorandum of understanding, MoU, where the government side signed a promissory note that they will attend to the demands by January 6, 2014.

“It was also agreed that if government could meet the minimum demand of the issues at stake in terms of income, wages and discrepancies in our salaries and lastly funding of healthcare, we would reconsider.

“If they can reach at least one of the demands, we will reconsider our stand. But they only came up with the MoU, which was not part of our agreement with doctors.”

This will only make the Yuletide, one of the miserable one ever in Nigeria, as the Doctors will go home happily and relax and watch innocent Nigerians, who could afford private medical bills, just die as though they have no value, Nigerians should try and call this desperate people to order, so as to avoid mayhem from beffaling them,' a passerby told our reporter.
