A bizare scene was seen in the at illeasha, in osun state, when a 26-year-old man, Rufai Idowu, allegedly raped and killed his 10-year-old cousin, he committed the offence on November 4, at about 5p.m. at Oosa Compound, Ile Ogbo, in Ayedire Local Government Area of the state, faced the panel yesterday, at the Osogbo Chief Magistrate’s Court ,where he has been remanded, in a prison custody now.
The police said that the offence is contrary to Section 316 and punishable under Section 319 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol.11 Laws of Osun, 2003, because of this, The presiding magistrate, Mr. Adebayo Lasisi, ordered that the accused be remanded in Ilesha Prison custody. He subsequently adjourned the matter till January 7, 2014 for mention.
